About the Owners and Their Cabin

Dear Web Visitors,

Bob and I are originally from Colorado. When we moved to California, a portion of our hearts remained in Colorado. About 16 years ago, we purchased our small 700 square foot cabin on the Big Thompson River near Estes Park, Colorado, a dream of ours since our early married life. Just this past year, we remodeled the cabin, adding a larger master bedroom featuring a king-sized bed with an Ultrapedic (NASA memory foam) mattress and remodeled the rest of the cabin.

We just love spending time at the cabin; but, since we're not there all the time, we thought it would be fun to rent it out to people like you, friends we just haven’t met yet, so you could get a little taste of heaven on earth too.

We want it to feel like you’re at home, not a motel, so we’ve tried to include all the comforts of home like telephone, a wood burning fireplace for cozy evenings, color televisions in both the living room and master bedroom with DVD and VCR players and DISH satellite, a well-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a walk-in closet in the master bedroom and a nice sized closet in the second bedroom, a coat closet in the living room that can double as a clothes closet for someone sleeping on the futon. We have a single car garage, a nice deck out the front door with a grill (we will be expanding the deck this spring and add a gas grill), and my favorite – a picnic area down by the river which is our own private area.

If you’re not familiar with Estes Park, it is a very lively resort town with its boundaries right up to the Rocky Mountain National Park (one of the top 10 national parks visited each year). They have many exciting events throughout the year including an annual Christmas parade the day after Thanksgiving, a rodeo in July, fireworks at the lake on the 4th of July, a Scottish Festival in October, a parade of antique cars up the Big Thompson Canyon at Labor Day, a Christian Music Festival (a real highlight), a Jazz Festival, many hiking trails and fishing lakes, and the list goes on and on.

We appreciate you checking out our website and if this sounds like a great vacation place, please send us an email with dates you’re interested in. See our calendar that will give you open dates. The weekly rates go from Saturday afternoon arrival to the following Satuday morning departure.

Sincerely,

Bob and Patricia Stoffregen
